Devils Hole 2 is a gated cave near Devils Hole proper, located in the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Nevada, and is part of the Death Valley National Park. Its dry part is 39 m deep while the subaqueous part below extends beyond 150 of water depth. This cave and the neighboring Devils Hole proper cave have been the focus of scientific research for many years, because mineral deposits on the walls of these desert caves preserved unequivocal traces of rises and falls of the groundwater level over hundreds of thousands of years.
