長宜子孫銘内行花文鏡（ないこうかもんきょう） 径20.8㎝ 加古川市教育委員会蔵
八つの弧（花文）を内向きに配した、幾何学的なデザインの鏡です。平板な表現が特徴です。中央には「長」「宜」「子」「孫」の文字があります。子孫の繁栄を願って記された銘文です。
長慶寺山１号墳は加古川右岸の高い丘陵上に築かれた前方後円墳（墳長34.5ｍ）です。昭和30年に発掘され、他に鉄剣、鉄鏃（てつぞく）、鉄斧などが出土しています。
古墳の年代は３世紀後半〰４世紀ですが、鏡は中国の後漢代（１世紀）に作られた製品であり、300年近い年代の差があります。この墓に副葬されるまでに、どのような経緯があったのでしょうか。
