The València la Vella’s project is an archaeological research conducted by Town of Riba Roja of Túria and the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology. This project has also the collaboration of the Diputació de València and Generalitat of València. “València the ancient” is a Visigothic city of about 5 hectares of surface and is located 16 km from the Hispano-Visigothic city of Valentia (today València). It’s the object of annual excavations to analyze a military settlement in the context of the western Mediterranean, in the border area between the Regnum Visigothorum of Toletum and the Byzantine province of Spania.
