Krater The vase has a bell shaped body, a wide mouth, a horizontal flared rim and a narrow stand ring. Right under the rim there are two handles, arranged horizontally, with impressed ends. It is decorated with a channelling. It is a fine vase with multiple possible uses: bringing food or liquids to the table but also for occasionally storing various products (such a krater, full of cereals was discovered in a burned building close to the “red rampart” at Costeşti-Cetăţuie). Inspired from the Greek ceramics (it was used for mixing wine with water), it was adapted by the Dacians to their own tastes and customs.
