This is a 3D model of an ancient marble Roman imperial portrait bust of Marciana in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (catalog no. 20.200). This is an official portrait bust of Marciana, elder sister of Trajan. This portrait bust demonstrates some of the highly elaborate hairstyles and hair pieces for ladies of the imperial court in Rome.
This portrait bust is from the Hadrianic Period. Marciana was the grandmother of Sabina, Hadrian’s wife.
