Hammer head
The tool has two almost equal arms, with a rectangular cross-section, both sharpened at the ends. The socket is oval and it is situated in the centre, where the body of the hammer slightly thickens. On one of the sides of the hammer, right near the eye, a sign resembling the letter „ψ” was incised (it probably represents the mark of the craftsman or that of the workshop’s owner). This hammer was used, most probably, in a jeweller’s workshop in the capital city of the Dacian kingdom, Sarmizegetusa Regia.
