More model informationLow-poly historical accurate reconstruction of a drawbridge with lifting arms (gaffs) and counterweights mechanism for castle or town gates. This form was very common from the 14th century onwards. Due to the counterweight, the bridge can be operated by only one person, by pulling or releasing a rope attached to its end. The arms or gaffs fit in slits in the outer wall, when the bridge is lifted.
** Somehow one chain detached itself. Going to fix it soon.
