More model informationA 14th century face jug from excavations on St Marys Street, Southampton (SOU 1553). The jug was found in what was Saxon Hamwic. The excavations at SOU 1553 shows there was medieval occupation in the area as well. The face jug is likely to have been manufactured in South Hampshire.
The jug has been laser scanned as part of a collaborative project between Southampton Cultural Services and the Department of Archaeology at the University of Southampton
