1861 Dahlgren Cannon (Twelve-pound cannon)

Gun designed by Rear Admiral John A. Dahlgren USN, mainly used during American Civil War. Dahlgren guns were designed with a smooth curved shape, equalizing strain and concentrating more of the weight of the metal in the gun breech.
