More model informationLaunched on 21 May 1957, Supreme was a 67-foot siene net boat. In December 1982 her then skipper Peter Mackenzie was fined for using nets with an undersized mesh. At 2.00 a.m. on 16 April 1985 Oban Coastguard received a Mayday message from Supreme which had run aground in heavy weather while dredging for prawns off the Point of Sleat, Skye. Mallaig Lifeboat was launched and a Coastguard rescue team was alerted, but Skipper Mackenzie and his crew of three were rescued by another fishing boat, the Inverness registered Aspire. The stranded Supreme, meanwhile, broke up and sank.
