Bronz statue of Osen-san in front of Soka station on the Tobu Skytree line. She was a person from the Edo period and was good at making dumplings. She was a wise and commercial seller, and when she crushed and baked the unsold rice cakes, she turned out to be a very delicious pastry. And the baked confectionery quickly became a specialty of Soka. Her name is “Osen”. She became known as “Osen-bei” because of her baked dumplings.
