Excavated from Aramaki mound tomb , Tenri City, Nara Prefecture, Japan.
“Haniwa” is an unglazed clay artifact arranged around the mounded tomb.
It consists of a cylindrical base and a portion that resembles an umbrella (lid) that is addressed to a noble.
