20 shades of election

This is a 3D map that shows outcome of the 2016 presidential election as of November 9, 2016, 10:47 am EST with blue and red color shading to indicate the margin of victory at the state level (see key in the Gulf of Mexico) and height to show the relative number of electoral votes for each state (and DC). The small US up where Ontario should be is shaded to reflect the national (popular) vote which was 59,459,229 D to 59,272,991 R (thus shaded at 0-4% blue) at 12:04 PM EST. This map is not intended to be a comment on the outcome of the 2016 presidential race or on the Electoral College in general; rather, is a map that I was interested in seeing that I could not find elsewhere.
