More model informationThe house was built 350 years ago, in 1670, to serve as a Bed&Breakfast. This type of construction, with a superior extension above the entrance area, was quite popular in the past - especially in the southeastern part of Norway and in neighbouring regions of Sweden. The room was used for storing clothes, tools and equipment.
The house was transferred from Gammelstu Trønnes to the open-air museum in Oslo in 1903 and restored in 1905.
