This is the 3rd and last instar of the larva of this antlion species. I annotated it for your convenience (click on “select an annotation” and then “show annotations” to see them).
The imago wil be next. Palpares libelluloides is an antlion that is found across Southern Europe. The day-and night-active imagos can be observed from May to September. The specific name libelluloides means “dragonfly-like” (cf the dragonfly genus Libellula).
