The vertebral artery (5) is mobilized subperiosteally on the left side. The left sided suboccipital venous plexus is removed and the V3 (7) (vertical) and V3 (5) (horizontal) segments of the vertebral artery are presented. Rectus capitis posterior minor m. (midline) is removed.
