More model informationThe origin of this field can be seen as 3 distinct 3-directional xyz systems that are rotated
from each other about a common 3-fold axis of symmetry. The major polyhedron that this
combined system generates is a polar zonohedron with 72 faces. In this array, major cells are
connected at polar vertices, like strings of beads. They also form rings of 9 cells around the
cetral axis each cell sharing edges in common with adjacent cells. The space between cells
can be completely filled with minor zonohedral cells using edge directions parallel with some
of the original coordinates. The white bands in this model can be seen to define zones that
continue throughout the array.
