“That’s it,” Pendregez the Wise grunted as he shoved away from the third failed potion of the night, now a smoking mess on his desk. “I don’t have to put up with this… this nonsense any longer!” He stumped over to a suitcase slumbering in the corner and with a wizardly flourish snapped it open. A blue glow suffused the room, lighting up his wizened countenance with a warm breeze that smelled like salt and sand. The distant call of seagulls creaked. Pendregez grinned and flipped over the sign on the underside of the case. If anyone needed him, they knew where to find him.
