Fatally injured ages ago during the war of the ancient, a nightmare dragon headed back to a remote island located in Val’Sharah in the broken isles where he took his last breath, resting within the very swamp that cradled him in his youth. When Gul’dan opened the portal in Sargeras’ tomb, unleashing the burning legion’s wrath in Azeroth, the world tree in Val’Sharah has become completely corrupted, spreading the energy of the Twisting Nether throughout the forest and the swamp. Since then, the few courageous souls who ventured in this part of Val’Sharah swear that they heard some kind of rumble that appears to come from the dragon’s skull, whose eyes became bright green as if he was waking from a long sleep.
