One of the 600.000 statues which formed part of the ComingWorldRememberMe project as a land-art installation at the Palingbeek (West-Flanders, Belgium). Each statue represents one victim of the 1914-1918 Great War in Belgium. Artist Koen Vanmechelen designed its look and ten thousands of people all over Flanders and abroad joined to physically make them during various workshops.
About this statue: This particular statue closely resembles the standard mold of the by the artist designed statues, the godfather/mother gave it a personal touch by accentuating the spine. Bolow, at the right sight, the godfather/mother of the statue encised two letters: CR, probably his/her initials.
