Eastern Facade Mural: DESCRIPTION: 50-foot high by 150-foot wide acrylic mural COMMENT: Jonas Never’s mural parodies the 1958 Orson Welles film noir “Touch of Evil” (see movie poster image below), with its black and white street scene lined by colonnaded buildings.
Western Facade Mural: “Venice Kinesis” (2010) by Rip Cronk DESCRIPTION: 21-foot high by 100-foot wide acrylic paint mural
COMMENT: Rip Cronk’s Venice Beach version of Sandro Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus” (circa 1485) is a 2010 restoration of his original 1989 mural at the same location, formerly titled “Venice Reconstituted.”
