More model informationHailing from Gujarat (or possibly Sindh) the Bhuj is a knife nested at the top of a long handle that also conceals a stiletto-like dagger in the hollow shaft.
When I first discovered this weapon, I wondered: Why not just use a sword? Because, dummy, a Bhuj is super sweet, and ornate, and usually has an awesome gilded elephant under the blade. I thought I’d take a crack at making something a tad more sinister, however, and threw a wolf head under there instead… and I also made things generally a bit more pointy.
Stylized polished wood was a first for me, and so was a swoopy wolf head. Honestly, most of this piece was a first for me.
