Abrading Stones were used in Ground Stone technique to make stone tools. “After Stones were were roughly pecked into shape, abrading stones were used for fine smoothing and polishing.” This abrading stone is part of a collection titled, “Two Ways to Make Stone Tools” at Chimney Point State Historic Site in Addison, VT.
