The Abrams X tank is the latest upgraded version based on the famous M1 Abrams with many outstanding features, expected to be a game-changing weapon for the US military. When the Abrams tank (named after General Creighton W. Abrams, former Chief of Staff of the Army and commander of the 37th Armored Battalion) was first launched by the US Army for field testing in 1982, it was designed to take on the Soviet T-72. Future upgrades will incorporate a color imaging camera, an eye-safe laser target seeker, and a platform to support battle awareness in the commander’s viewfinder. In addition, the number of crew members is reduced from 4 to 3 thanks to the integration of an unmanned turret, AI support with automatic loader, the tank will have a high level of damage, survivability and higher mobility.
