More model information‘Ad Patriam (Towards the Homeland)’, 1893. Life-size plaster model by Charles Jacquot (1865-1930) currently on display in the Petit Palais, Paris, France (Inv. COA-DBAS989). The statue depicts a girl from Alsace (Eastern France) carrying her brother. She just crossed the border between Germany and France. After the war of 1870, Germany took Alsace from France, and the artwork pays homage to Alsatian people who refused to become German. 3D scanned using RealityScan, 270 photos.
