The AK-105 (GRAU index 6P47) is a shortened version of the AK-74M automatic carbine, which in turn was derived from the original design of the AK-47 and its successor, the AK-74. The AK-102[en], AK-104[en] and AK-105 are very similar in design, the only difference being the caliber and corresponding magazine type. The AK-105 is designed to fire 5.45×39 mm cartridges.[1]
