More model informationAlexander Hamilton was reputedly born in this stone Georgian building in Charlestown, Nevis, in January 1755 (or 1757) to Scottish merchant James Hamilton and Rachel Faucette, then a tavern. The future Founding Father lived on Nevis (and perhaps nearby St. Eustatius) until the age of nine, when dad abandoned the family and Rachel took Alex and his younger brother to St. Croix. The building was restored in 1983 and has a nice museum inside. The Nevis Assembly meets here when in session. The model was made in January 2023 and turned out well, except for distortions on the roof on the eastern side, due to trees (cropped out) closely adjoining the house.
