I specifically sculpted this guy as a training exercise for poly-grouping, sub-dividing, UV unwrapping, re-meshing and other technical jargon that sounds cool when taken out of context. Even though I’ve optimized the mesh for painting in a different software, I was surprised by how well the basic shape turned out so I thought I’d post this un-painted version as well.
I had absolutely no grand character design going in and I almost gave up multiple times, so if you find this model impressive then your take-away should be to keep looking for potential within your own messes.
In fact, now I’m thinking of adding either weapons or a breathing apparatus to the back of this character because there’s a Lincoln-log-esque design already present, which was not my intention at all.
