Low poly modified scan of a replica Allosaurus fragilis with fixed anatomy.
The original scan was posed in the typical outdated upright kangaroo pose. It’s also a composite skeleton of different individuals. Like many older mounts it had too many caudal verts, making the tail much too long. The position of the shoulders was incorrect and the furcula was missing. The skull was also entirely a sculpture with entirely the wrong shape. So, here, I’ve fixed all those problems by sculpting the missing furcula, reshaping the skull, separating several bones and sculpting in the missing details in between to make the reposing possible.
Allosaurus lived during the Late Jurassic in the Morrison formation, USA.
