The flower Alstroemeria, deeply rooted in South American, known for its unique characteristics across diverse landscapes. From the imposing Andes Mountains to the fertile Chilean valleys and the historically significant Sacred Valley of Peru, this flower, also known as the “Inca Lily,” has held cultural significance dating back to the ancient Inca civilization.

The Incas revered the Alstroemeria for its symbolism and aesthetic appeal, considering it a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Today, it continues to thrive in varied environments, from the arid Atacama Desert, symbolizing nature’s resilience, to the temperate Patagonian climates, demonstrating adaptability in remote landscapes.

The name “Alstroemeria” pays homage to its Swedish namesake (year 1753), Baron Clas Alströmer, who was a close friend of the renowned botanist Carl Linnaeus. Baron Alströmer played a pivotal role in bringing the flower to Europe, where it gained widespread recognition for its enduring beauty.
