This panel of rock paintings has been known as “Risti Bakti” by the locals for well over 100 years. It wasn’t until 1966 that archaeologist were made aware of the panel, and today it is a part of the rich rockart material that we have here in Alta. Even though they can be hard to make out, there are human figures on this panel, together with geometric figures, cervids and many more. It is very difficult to say how old these images actually are, but a qualified guess places them between 2000 and 4000 years back in time.
