Lowpoly Model of the Amazon-Class Type 21 Frigate used by the Royal Navy during the Falklands War of 1982 & in a typical configuration for that time. Every Primary Weapon & Sub-System is their own independent set of models & textures to maximise flexibility & optimisation, with each also being fully functional. More Info:

Hi @hmsambuscadetariq
First of all, Sketchfab doesn't own this Type 21 Frigate model; it's simply a platform where you can view 3D models online and also buy/sell models. I'm the creator of this model and I've also allowed your charity already to use some of the renders I've made for your charity application. I'm interested in supporting your charity, please contact me on ArtStation so we can discuss this further: artstation.com/artwork/q9VaEn
We are a UK Charity looking for permission to use this to promote our campaign, to repatriate HMS Ambuscade, to create a new Clyde Naval Heritage site. The ship has been donated to our group. We can offer branding to Sketchfab?
Would love to see this in DCS !!!
No probs Rhino...I'll sort it. Best of luck with finishing up the Type-21...she is a beauty ;-)
Cheers
@Happy.Wanderer Sorry, as I said before I've still yet to make the LODs and will be some time before I do as I'm really busy with work and other stuff and gotta finish other parts of this ship off too before I plan to do it. If time is an issue for you I might be able to sort something out in a few weeks at best, although it will be a quick job of just making a low poly model and baking the details onto a new low rez texture but like I said, I'm busy with other stuff and not something I had planned to do at this time so not sure when I can have that done and if you need something ASAP it might be quicker to make something up yourself as I'm super busy.

@Happy.Wanderer Cool, well seeing as your models are pretty low detail and this is a free, non-comercial project, what I could possibly do is let you have one of the very low rez LODs with low rez textures which should be an adequate level of detail for your needs. I've still yet to make the LODs and can't say at what point I'll have this finished but let me know if that is of interest to you.
Oh, I see.
Nothing online. I’m putting together a tabletop simulator module that incorporates Falklands war actions using the miniature gaming system Conn...Sonar!. You can see the FB page here and some pics of my models so far.
I’m filling in a few holes a few of which are for Falklands scenarios. Types 21, Tupe 42 and Churchill class sub.

@Happy.Wanderer Sorry I meant do you have any links to the project your working on or is it too early for that?
Nothing to specific, but this is a good one

:-)
@Happy.Wanderer Thanks and good luck with your project, got any links etc? Always like to see a Falklands project in the makings :)
Thanks for that thoughtful response Rhino. No probs with you selling your efforts - it's certainly worth it should such a detailed model be required.
My own needs are hobby based so no need to take it any further.
Best of luck.
Kind regards
@markzg73 & @Happy.Wanderer Thanks! As mentioned, the above model is still very WIP, made quite some progress since I last uploaded it (totally reworked the Mk.8 Naval Gun, finished off the Corvus Chaff Launchers realitymod.com/forum/blog.php?b=478 and a few other things), but still lots to do before it's 100% finished, been really busy with other stuff so been hard to find time to do that.
As for a download link, I'm sorry but I'm not prepared to give this model away for free, even for personal projects as I've put a hell of a lot of work into these models and I feel there is quite a bit of value in them. On top of the Frigate itself, the Weapon and Sub-System are totally separate models/textures, so not only could they be easily used on other ships that also use those Weapons & Sub-Systems, but also so they shared common textures / draw calls and would be as optimized as possible as a result when used on a Falklands Task Force for example. My original plan was to go on to make the entire fleet in the Falklands Task Force although that is still to be seen, that largely depends on if there is a need for it.
If either of you or anyone else is prepared to talk money and/or equity in a commercial project they would be used in, then I would be more than happy to talk with you and also about meeting any requirements you may have.
Thanks again and let me know if your intreasted in purchasing these models :)
Great work! I would second the request for an upload link - it is exactly what I need for my Falklands project also and it looks great just as it is.
Excellent model.
Thanks
Dear Sir, can you please enable a download for a personal project (Falklands`s diorama)?
Many thanks, Mark
looks great
Nice first upload, welcome to Sketchfab!
Good work!
