More model informationOriginally settled by Captain John Coming circa 1669, this plantation is located in rural Berkley County near Charleston South Carolina. It gets it’s name from the fact it is situated on the north side of the Cooper River where the eastern and western branches of the river come together in the shape of a “T”. Coming died childless and his widow left the plantation to his nephew Elias Ball. The story of the family and slaves who lived here for the next 200 years is told in the incredible 1998 book “Slaves in the Family” by Edward Ball. https://www.edwardball.com/slaves-in-the-family
