An authentic smithy from Fundu Moldovei, Suceava3D ModelNoAI
This smithy was dismantled and brought up to the National Museum Complex “Astra” in Sibiu in 2008, from Fundu Moldovei village, Suceava county, Romania.
It was built by the owner, with help from the village, in 1959 (as the inscription on the kiln shows) and operated until the end of 2004. Tools are bought over the years from fairs (mainly in Câmpulung). The smithy worked all year round, the busiest times were in the fall when the horseshoes were changed for the snow, the sleds were fitted with rails.
