More model informationAncient Egyptian pectoral (the part of a necklace or mummy net that sat across the chest) made of faience, dating to the late New Kingdom - Third Intermediate Period.
The pectoral is in the form of a pylon - the entrance to a temple - with the top edge moulded in the form of the cornice that topped these structures.
The decoration depicts three gods - the sibling-spouses Isis and Osiris, facing the falcon-headed Ra. The names of the gods are given in hieroglyphs before each figure.
