The Andrew’s beaked whale (Mesoplodon bowdoini) is one of the most poorly known species of Ziphidae. The species has never been observed in the wild, and is known only from specimens washed up on beaches. It lives in Southern Australia and around the coast of New Zealand. Males typically range about 4,5 metres long while female are larger reaching at least 4, 9 metres.
