More model informationThis is an approximate digital reconstruction of the skull of Anhanguera Blittersdorfi, a pterosaur from the early Cretaceous (112mya) of the Santana formation in Brazil.
Anhanguera is closely related to the much larger pterosaur Ornithocheirus and posesses a crest at the end of its snout, on both the upper and lower jaw, a trait seen in other pterosaurs of the family Ornithocheiridae.
This skull would be around 23 inches (58.42cm) long in life.
This model is still not final and was modeled based off of photo reference, of multiple specimens, generated by the Witmer Lab at Ohio University and Digimorph (1,2).
