This model illustrates the internal structures (organelles) of an animal cell. It was designed as part of the AnatoCell project (discovery of the anatomy of an animal cell), developed in the biology laboratory located at the Institut de la Mer in Villefranche-sur-Mer. This biology research unit (co-supervised by Sorbonne University and the CNRS) has 7 teams conducting research on topics as varied as cell motility, cell division, developmental determinants, egg organization and reorganization, calcium signals, embryo regionalization, embryonic axis development, gene regulation, cell specification and differentiation, and embryonic induction.
