I saw a Pinscreen on a video and thought “Can I make something like that in Blender?”, then I saw the ‘NIN - Only’ videoclip and… “Yes, It’s possible! I know how to do it” I made it using a Shrinkwrap modifier on a plane with subdivisions and parenting the pins to vertex on it. I didn’t know how to bake those pins to make it work on Sketchfab, so I bake them manually… one by one! 800 pins… Next time I’ll try to make the same but with a video acting as displacement, but first I need to find out how to bake all those objects at once.
Change the animation speed to x0.1 if you want to see the pins in action. I hope you like it!
