Anime Figurine

3D Model

This 3D model created by Leia Bonjean is of an anime figurine of Kirua Zoldik, a character of the anime hunterxhunter. The figurine is about 11 cm tall and includes the distinctive white spicky hair of the character and also represents lightning around the figure, which the character can produce in the anime.

The lightning of the figurine is in a light transparent blue, which created a challenge for the construction of the 3D model. This was solved using flour. The figurine was humidified and then dipped in flour to create texture on the lightning. Although attemps were made to clean the flour off of the rest of the figurine, some ended up staying, particularly around the feet of the figurine. Consequently, the figurine seems to be walking in snow in the 3D model and the hands became less defined. Moreover, a hole on the forehead of the figurine was patched up during the digitisation process but it still noticeable.

Other than that, the 3D model remains faithful to the original object, scratches and all.
