More model informationThis is a Woodland Period deer antler stubby billet from a storage pit in northwestern Oklahoma. The billet is 56.5 mm long, 33.0 mm wide, 30.0 mm thick, and has a mass of 31.4 g. The original weight of the billet is estimated at 46.5 g based on volume. Burial in a sandy matrix undoubtedly led to the drying of the artifact as indicated by the presence of weathering (desiccation) cracks.
