More model informationThis is a Woodland Period deer antler stubby billet from a storage pit in northwestern Oklahoma. The billet is 63.3 mm long, 38.5 mm wide, 31.8 mm thick, and has a mass of 45.1 g. The original weight of the billet is estimated at 66.8 g based on volume. Burial in a sandy matrix undoubtedly led to the drying of the artifact as indicated by the presence of weathering (desiccation) cracks.
