This sculpture - and hundreds of others like it - was likely inspired by a statue of the goddess Aphrodite carved by Praxiteles sometime between 360 and 330 BC.
It was one of the first sculptures to show the goddess in the nude, and became famous throught ancient Greece.
This fragment is located in the Speed Museum in Louisville, Kentucky.
