Statue of Apollo in Schönbrunn Palace Park. The sculpture, created by Johann Wilhelm Beyer in 1775, depicts the god Apollo, who is revered in Greek and Roman mythology. Wearing a laurel wreath and lyre, he embodies the arts and the divine. At his feet is a tripod entwined with a snake - a reference to the oracle of Delphi, which Apollo took possession of after defeating the earth serpent Python.
