Excavation test trench (1 x 20 m) at the Tremaine Site (47-LC-95) excavated by student in ARC196: Introduction to Archaeological Field and Laboratory Methods, Fall 2024, Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Forty-five students participated over two seperate days and worked in teams excavating individual 1 x 1 m test units. Excavations systematically removed 10 cm arbitrary levels from the plowzone, terminating at the interface with the underlyingg BC-horizon subsoil.
