In July 2023, the Viski Károly Museum Kalocsa carried out a one-week artefact rescue in the southern border of Bátya. Bronze Age finds, fragments of a bronze plate belt and bracelets were found in the area in connection with a previous field trip and instrumental discovery.

Among the 3,000-year-old graves oriented east-west, one was a woman’s, the other a man’s, and the third was an empty burial pit. As appendices to the skeletal burials, we unearthed a Cypriot pin - which was used to hold clothes together - bracelets, spiral-decorated rings, bronze hoops, a bronze disk and the end of a sword hilt.
