Archaeology at Toddsbury 3D Model
Located in Gloucester County, Toddsbury is one of the oldest surviving homes in eastern Virginia. Recent excavations have led to the discovery of five likely 18th-century outbuildings, all aligned and extending east of the manor house toward the shoreline. This building foundation was uncovered during the fall 2018 excavation season. It is thought to be a warehouse as there is no known heat source inside. A possibly earlier foundation was discovered along the east wall of the larger structure. One brick wide dividing walls separated the building into three sections.
