More model informationThis part figurine, held in trust by the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter, is thought to be Greek, in the very early Archaic style. It is thought to be of a lion, and is made of hollow, brown hollow, terracotta. It is likely to have been part of a figure of a complete animal, and is approximately 4 cm high.
It belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Montague who collected over 800 classical archaeological objects, which he bequeathed to the museum on his death.
