More model informationThe Archaeological Museum of Nessebar was inaugurated in 1956 at the Church of St John the Baptist and, in 1994, was transferred to the present site designed specifically by the architect Hristo Koev. The structure is divided into two floors through which you can discover the entire history of the city; from its Thracian origins until the seventeenth century under the Ottoman Empire. This city has been in fact several times in the course of its history near the border of an empire, and this is the reason why Nesebăr has a rich history.
