More model informationThis wristguard was found in a grave of a adult male at Lechlade Skate Park, Wilitshire, UK, excavated by Foundations Archaeology. It is manufactured from Langdale tuff, a hard volcanic ash found in Cumbria, a few hundred miles to the north.
Around 100 wristguards have been found in the UK but only 17 are made of Langdale tuff. These are widely distributed across Britain and a close parallel for this example was found at Culduthel, near Inverness.
